Not Much Happening Here...

So, I guess I didn't quite get back into blogging mode then!

Ah well, to be honest, there's not a great deal to report anyway. I've been at the new job for nearly two months now and hoping that there's even the faintest glimmer of a possibility that I can get back into development work. So far, I've just been pushing paper and any dev work has been cancelled as the customer has realised that they are going to have to pay for it: good for making them think about what they want but bad for me in this job role :-(

Mind you, there are certain perks working with the rest of the guys and gals transferred from the support desk, working alongside the highly talented DJ Flip-U (who is the best wind-up merchant here) and the naturally comedic KitKat who has an affinity for headbutting waste bins (don't ask!) and, according to her Facebook status, loves both cock and rug!!

Good times :-)

Whilst I'm at it, I think I'll also take this opportunity to plug my cousin's band!

A couple of weeks ago, there was the first of many family parties to get everyone together in one place for something other than a wedding, christening or funeral*. On the first night out, I headed out into Blackpool to see my cousin perform in his band, The Dirty Daggers, at the West Coast Rock Café and had the chance to meet the rest of the band: all top guys who perhaps play the quiz machines a little too much ;-)

Recently, they came very close to winning the Battle of the Bands for the region but were, unfortunately, pipped at the post. If you're into a little hard rock, why not take a listen to some of their music and give them a vote or two in this years Rock Quest 2009?!

Go on, you know you want to :-)

* I should explain that we have a rather large family and even though not everyone came, there was still over 40 of us!!

My God, I nearly fell off my chair when your feed came up in bold!

Christmas must be expensive in your family! Makes me glad there's only 7 of us!

Thankfully, Christmas isn't as expensive as it could be as we only buy stuff for immediate family!!
